Just as MUSC did last year, two records have been broken at the Indiana swim meet this past weekend. Claire Spradling takes the women’s 100 freestyle with 56.46 and Caitlin Connor breaks the women’s 50 freestyle by one hundredth of a second with a time of 25.96. Again, congratulations to the club’s continued success and although I can’t participate anymore I’m rooting for you from Texas and I hope you all stay motivated throughout the semester.

Although MUSC did not come out on top overall in this past swim meet at Indiana they did break two team records. Congratulations to Andrew Tamchyna who broke his previous record of 54.20 in the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.05, and Chris Burford who swam the 50 fly in 23.62 and took down the mighty Max Jaben’s time of 24.12. To the rest of the participants, I thank all of you for competing at Indiana and continuing to devote your time to make this club so great.

Mizzou Takes 2nd at 2010 ASAU Regionals! RECORDS UPDATED
by admin, posted Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 at 6:18 pm
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend regionals but it sounds like everyone swam extremely well and had a blast. I’m sure the president will send out a more formal email later but I’d like to say thanks to all the members who did give their time to represent the club and make a name for MUSC. Hopefully we can have even more people participate next year to help take 1st place. Perhaps we could volunteer to host the meet next year. Also, since Daniel has taken the time to compile a list of records up to the KU I have updated the records page to match.
